We started Renno after watching our own families go through two renovations in Amsterdam. Both went the way too many renovations go. One contractor vanished with the deposit. A second tore down the wrong wall. A third delivered beautiful work and spent the whole project waiting for money he had already earned, borrowing from the next job to finish this one. He was building other people's dreams without ever getting closer to his own.

The pattern was clear. Contractors were carrying all the financial risk. Homeowners were carrying all the fear. We spent the next several months talking to builders and homeowners across Europe, and the answer kept coming back to the same thing. Renovation didn't need another tool. It needed a financial system built for it.

So we built one. Renno is the payment infrastructure and trust layer underneath every renovation, so tradespeople can build their clients' dream homes and their own dream businesses at the same time.
