As the work goes on you follow each stage with updates and photos, and when you are happy with a stage you release its payment to your contractor.

With a bank transfer your money leaves your account the moment you send it, and there’s no way back if something goes wrong. With Renno your money is held in a protected account with a regulated payment partner, and your contractor can’t touch it until you’re happy with the work. It’s the same kind of protection people rely on when buying a house, now for renovations.

Yes. Renno and Renno Concierge are free for homeowners. There’s no charge to compare quotes, meet verified contractors or run your project on Renno. Your contractor pays 2% of the project cost, and only when they get paid. There are no hidden fees, no subscriptions and no mark-ups on your project.

Renno is available in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, and we’re expanding across Europe.

Renno runs the platform and your project. Your money is held by a regulated payment partner, not by Renno. In the UK that partner is Online Payment Platform UK Ltd, authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as an Electronic Money Institution under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011. In the Netherlands it is Online Payment Platform (OPP), supervised by De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). When you pay in, your money goes into a safe account kept apart from Renno’s own money and the partner’s, and it goes to your contractor only as you release each stage. You never hand over the full amount up front, and nothing is paid without your say. Your personal data is handled under GDPR.

Your money stays protected while things are sorted out, and your Concierge is there to help. Renno has a fair process for settling disagreements, and because every stage has photos and documents behind it, there’s always a clear record of what was agreed and what was done.

Your Concierge puts contractor quotes side by side, goes through them with you, introduces you to verified contractors and sets you and your project up on Renno, so your money is protected from the first stage to the last. We don’t design your renovation or run the building work. We guide your decisions and keep your money safe, and we’re clear about that from the first call.

Every contractor on Renno is checked before they can take on a project: who they are, that their business is real and who’s behind it. Before your Concierge introduces anyone, we also look at their track record, and we only work with contractors we’d recommend to our own family. Already have a contractor in mind? We check them the same way.

Yes. We check your contractor the same way we check everyone, and your project runs on Renno with the same protection for your money. Who does the work doesn’t change.

You can find a contractor yourself. A Concierge means you don’t have to do it alone. Your Concierge comes from the renovation world, so they know what a fair price looks like. They put quotes side by side so you can compare them properly, and point out the things that are easy to miss. And because your project runs on Renno, your money stays protected until you approve each stage.
