London's builders wait weeks to be paid, and their customers hand over savings on trust. Renno fixes both and is live in the city. We are hiring two people to sell it to builders face to face. One of them will run the second London team from month six.

About Renno

Renno is the payment rail for renovation. Homeowners fund a project once and approve each milestone when the work is done. Builders get paid instantly, without chasing. Both sides see exactly where the money is.

We are live in Amsterdam and London and hiring the team that opens the next markets.

From Mark, CEO. Renovation is a market worth close to a trillion euros a year that still runs on chasing invoices and hoping for the best. Builders wait weeks for money they have earned. Homeowners hand over their savings with no protection. We are fixing both, one city at a time. If you want to own a city and a number, talk to us.

The Role

This is a closing job. You find general contractors and specialist trades, get in front of the owner, and move their whole business onto Renno, not a trial project.

You work the city rather than a call list: sites, merchant counters, trade breakfasts, WhatsApp. You run your own patch and pipeline, you close, and you hand the builder to the homeowner relationship manager and the country lead to deepen.

What You Own

  • You own a patch of trades and neighbourhoods in London, and within a month you know every active site in it.
  • Your number is whole books. A builder counts when their business runs on Renno, not when they sign up.
  • You lead the conversation with owners about cash flow, chasing and certainty, because you have sold to owner-operators before.
  • You ask every builder you activate for the next one, and for their subcontractors.
  • You log pipeline and activations the same day, so the country lead sees your numbers without asking.
  • You are a known face at the merchant branches in your patch. They help you, but they do not sell for you.

What Success Looks Like

  • Months 1–3: you have mapped your patch and your first whole books are live.
  • Month 4: you are on plan at two and a half whole books a month, and activated builders are being passed cleanly to the homeowner relationship manager.
  • Month 6: you have been above plan for two months running, and referrals make up more than a third of new pipeline.
  • Month 12: Renno is the default in your patch, and your builders' subcontractors come to you.

This role is paid on whole books running on Renno. A book counts once £50,000 of work has been paid through Renno inside 90 days.

Who You Are

  • Two or more years closing to owner-operators in merchant acquiring, trade supply, payroll, fleet or insurance. You have carried a quota and beaten it.
  • You are happiest out of the office. You can read a site, find the boss and get five minutes without an appointment.
  • You are direct, you do not waste builders' time, and a no does not slow you down.
  • You are disciplined about your data because your pay depends on it.
  • You are comfortable in a startup. Builders are not always around in the daytime, so some evenings and weekend calls come with the job. You try things, keep what works and move on from what does not.

Who You Are Not

  • A graduate SDR who books meetings for someone else to close.
  • Someone who wants a warm inbound lead list. Here you build your own patch.
  • Anyone who counts a signup as a win. We pay for the whole book.

Where This Goes

London opens its second team at month six on the city's own numbers. The account executive who is furthest above plan is the first candidate to lead it. After that: a country's field team as the UK adds Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Bristol.

Tools You Will Use

You do not need to have used all of these, but you should pick them up quickly.

  • CRM and sales: HubSpot.
  • AI and automation: Claude Cowork, Granola.
  • General: Notion, Slack, Google Workspace.

How We Hire

  1. A 30-minute call with Daniel Spink, our UK Country Lead, about your numbers and our plan.
  2. A 45-minute working session. You pitch Renno to a builder and we play the builder. Then we walk you through London's numbers and you ask us anything you like.
  3. 30 minutes with Mark, our CEO.
  4. A written offer within 24 hours of meeting Mark, with the plan set out in full. Daniel calls two references at the same time, one of them a former manager.
